Understand Fluctus
Useful when…
- Repeated projectile fire with a 40-round magazine.
- Engaging targets while accounting for projectile travel and the listed distance falloff.
Normal attack
The normal attack fires at about 5 shots per second and lists 250 damage per attack: 175 Slash, 50 Impact, and 25 Puncture. It has 22% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 16% status chance. The projectile speed is listed as 300. Falloff starts at 800 metres and reaches a 50% reduction at 1,600 metres; no further endpoint is specified.
Magazine and fitting
The magazine holds 40 rounds and reloads in 5 seconds. Fluctus has one base Naramon polarity. Its listed critical and status values describe the normal attack; they do not by themselves determine a modded build’s final damage.
Firing-pattern alternatives
Mandonel has partially charged spread fire and a fully charged beam that creates a Radiation field; its description says projectiles passing through the field are empowered. Mausolon has automatic primary fire and a charged beam secondary. Both require more mastery than Fluctus: 10 for Mandonel and 14 for Mausolon, versus 2 for Fluctus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 5-second reload follows a 40-round magazine.
- Projectile travel means shots are not hitscan.
- Falloff begins at 800 metres and reaches a 50% reduction at 1,600 metres.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the listed accuracy as proof shots hit instantly.
- Ignoring the 5-second reload.
- Assuming the falloff data specifies damage beyond 1,600 metres.
