Understand Kronen Prime
Useful when…
- Normal melee combining Slash-heavy damage with both critical and status potential.
- Slam attacks with higher listed damage than standard Kronen.
Attack modes and stats
Normal attacks list 212 damage: 169.6 Slash, 21.2 Impact, and 21.2 Puncture. They have 22% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 34% status chance. Regular slam is an area attack dealing 424 Impact, with 50% damage reduction at 8 m. Heavy slam separately deals 636 Blast, with 30% reduction at 9 m. Both slam modes list 10% status chance; do not carry the normal attack’s 34% to them.
Handling and build choices
Kronen Prime lists 1.167 attack speed, 2.5 m range, 0.7 s heavy-attack wind-up, and a 5 s combo duration. It requires Mastery Rank 13 and has Madurai and Naramon polarities. Those may ease fitting mods of matching polarity, but the input does not name mods or establish a final build. Compared with standard Kronen’s supplied values, Prime has higher normal damage, critical chance, multiplier, status chance, and attack speed, while retaining the same listed reach and wind-up.
When another weapon fits better
Ankyros is a fist weapon described as short-ranged and fast, so it changes reach and handling. Cassowar is a polearm. Dark Split-Sword has two forms: a heavy sword or, with a Dual Melee stance applied, two blades. These alternatives offer different weapon types or a form condition, rather than Kronen Prime’s tonfa profile.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Mastery Rank 13 requirement is higher than the standard Kronen’s Rank 3.
- Slam attacks list only 10% status chance despite the normal attack’s 34%.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply normal-attack status chance to either slam mode.
- Dark Split-Sword’s dual-blade form requires a Dual Melee stance; do not assume Kronen Prime has alternate forms.
