Mk1-Bo

Starter staff with long listed reach and Impact-heavy attacks.

Released Jul 18, 2014

Mk1-Bo is a no-Mastery-requirement staff with 90 listed normal-attack damage, mostly Impact, and a 3 m listed range. Consider it as a starter melee weapon if staff reach and simple handling suit you. Its slam modes deal separate Impact and Blast AoE damage, while its critical and status chances are both 10%.

Mk1-Bo GUIDE

Understand Mk1-Bo

Useful when…

  • Use normal attacks for an Impact-heavy starter staff with 3 m listed range.
  • Use slam attacks for separate AoE damage when targets are grouped.

What is its basic attack profile?

Normal attacks list 90 total damage: 81 Impact and 9 Puncture. Critical chance is 10%, the critical multiplier is 2×, and status chance is 10%. The staff has listed attack speed 1, range 3 m, and a 0.5-second wind-up.

What do its slam attacks deal?

The standard slam is an AoE Impact attack listed at 180 damage, with 10% status chance and 50% falloff by 6 m. The heavy slam is an AoE Blast attack listed at 270 damage, with 10% status chance and 30% falloff by 7 m. Both are separate from the normal attack’s 90 damage.

Which starter comparisons are relevant?

Mk1-Furax is also a no-Mastery-requirement melee weapon, but is a short-range fist weapon with 1.25 m listed range and 20% critical chance. Mk1-Braton and Braton Vandal are rifles, not melee alternatives; the latter requires Rank 4 and is described as trading slower fire rate for higher accuracy and damage values. Compare these by weapon role rather than treating them as interchangeable.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Normal-attack critical and status chances are both 10%.
  • The listed normal damage is mostly Impact, with only 9 Puncture and no Slash.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not interpret the category label as evidence that Mk1-Bo is a rifle; its equipment type is Staff and it is melee.
  • Do not assume slam attacks share a different status chance; each listed slam has 10%.
