Understand Nikana Prime
Useful when…
- Normal attacks for a 90% Slash share of listed damage.
- Heavy attacks or slams when you want the weapon's distinct alternate attack modes.
What are its attack properties?
Normal attacks list 198 total damage: 178.2 Slash, 9.9 Impact, and 9.9 Puncture. They have 1.08 attack speed, 28% critical chance, a 2.4× critical multiplier, and 28% status chance. A regular slam is a separate area attack dealing 396 Impact damage, with 50% falloff by 6 m. A heavy slam deals 594 Blast damage, with 30% falloff by 7 m. The listed range is 2.5 m, follow-through 0.7, and heavy-attack wind-up 0.5 seconds.
What investment fits the listed profile?
The normal attack has both a high Slash share and higher listed critical and status chances than the standard Nikana, so either critical or status investment may be reasonable depending on the build you want. It requires Mastery Rank 12 and has Madurai and Vazarin polarities. Its listed recipe uses a blueprint, one Prime Nikana Blade, one Prime Nikana Handle, and 15 Orokin Cells; the build time is 43,200 seconds. The cached Vaulted tag does not establish current acquisition conditions.
How do the comparisons differ?
Dragon Nikana is another Nikana with a lower listed Mastery requirement and lower critical chance and multiplier in its comparison entry. Innodem is a dagger with its own described Void-amplified aerial and Incarnon finisher properties; those conditions are not part of Nikana Prime. Jaw Sword is a basic sword with a different class and lower listed critical stats. Consider those only when their requirements or stated mechanics match what you want.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires Mastery Rank 12.
- Strong listed critical and status profile with Slash-heavy normal attacks.
- Prime tag and Vaulted snapshot do not establish current acquisition availability.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not infer current availability from the Vaulted tag.
- Do not import Innodem's aerial or Incarnon mechanics into Nikana Prime.
- Do not treat slam attack values as normal-attack damage.
