Understand Prisma Skana
Useful when…
- Consider its normal attack profile when choosing a melee sword.
- Compare the separate Impact and Blast damage of its slam modes.
Normal attack
The Normal Attack has speed 1, 28% critical chance, a 2.2× critical multiplier, and 16% status chance. It deals 25.5 Impact, 25.5 Puncture, and 119 Slash damage. Listed range is 2.5, follow-through 0.6, and blocking angle 55 degrees.
Slam modes
The Slam Attack deals 340 Impact damage in an AoE, has 10% status chance, and falls off to 7 m with 50% reduction at the endpoint. The Heavy Slam Attack deals 510 Blast damage, has 10% status chance, and falls off to 8 m with 30% reduction at the endpoint.
Requirement and alternatives
Prisma Skana requires Mastery Rank 8. Acceltra Prime, Basmu, and Prisma Gorgon are rifles, so they represent a change from melee to ranged weapons. Their supplied entries do not make them direct sword replacements.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The normal attack profile is Slash-heavy; slam modes use Impact and Blast.
- The 16% Normal Attack status chance differs from the 10% listed for each slam mode.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing Slam Attack with Heavy Slam Attack damage or falloff.
- Treating rifle comparisons as direct melee substitutes.
