Understand Quanta
Useful when…
- Use the beam attack for hitscan Electricity damage.
- Distinguish the cube direct hit and explosion entries from the beam attack.
Beam and cube attack properties
The Beam is hitscan at 12 attacks per second and deals 10 Electricity, with 16% critical chance, 2.2× critical multiplier, and 24% status chance. Cube (direct hit) is a projectile at 4 per second dealing 100 Electricity. Cube Explosion deals 150 Blast with zero reduction listed through 0.5 m. Cube (shot by player) is a separate entry dealing 600 Blast, with zero reduction listed through 6 m. Cube (direct hit) and Cube Explosion list 5% critical chance, 1.5× critical multiplier, and 26% status chance; those values are not listed for Cube (shot by player).
Handling and requirement
The beam uses a Held trigger, with a 60-round magazine and 2-second reload. Listed multishot is 2, and the weapon has a Vazarin polarity. It requires Mastery Rank 4.
How the alternatives differ
Basmu is described as having explosive bolt and chaining plasma beam modes, with health leech when its battery is fully drained. Kuva Quartakk fires automatically from the hip and four simultaneous shots when aimed. Prisma Skana is a melee sword. These descriptions give different weapon mechanics and class from Quanta's beam and cube entries.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Beam and cube entries have different damage types and attack properties.
- The Cube (shot by player) entry does not list critical or status values.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply the beam's critical chance or damage to cube attacks.
- Do not assume the listed cube entries establish cube placement or detonation rules.
