Understand Sirocco
Useful when…
- Use the normal shot for semi-automatic fire without conventional ammunition management.
- Use the overcharged shot when its higher listed damage and status chance justify the timed reload.
Two attack profiles
The normal projectile deals 2,000 Void damage, with 40% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 20% status chance. The overcharged projectile deals 3,600 Void damage, with 80% critical chance, the same multiplier, and 50% status chance. Its listed attack speed is 0.833, compared with 3 for the normal attack.
Timed reload
The overcharge is conditional on a precisely timed reload; it is not a passive boost to every shot. The pistol has a 10-shot magazine and a listed 2-second reload. Use the normal shot when you do not want to wait for the timed reload.
Other pistol mechanics
Cycron has a regenerating energy disc, Ocucor spawns an energy tendril after a takedown, and Quatz has different hip-fire and aimed-fire behavior plus a discharge when reloaded from empty. These are distinct mechanics; the supplied descriptions do not establish them as direct substitutes for Sirocco's timed overcharge.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The overcharged shot has higher listed damage, critical chance, and status chance, but requires a precisely timed reload.
- The overcharged shot's listed attack speed is lower than the normal attack's.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the overcharge as an always-on bonus rather than a reload-triggered shot.
- Describing attack speed as a measure of overall weapon handling.
