Understand Quatz
Useful when…
- Use Auto mode for its listed 15 attacks per second and 27% status chance.
- Use the aimed Burst mode for its listed 27% critical chance and 2.5× critical multiplier.
- Reload from empty to meet the described capacitor discharge condition.
Auto and Burst modes
Auto is listed at 15 attacks per second with hitscan delivery, 13% critical chance, a 1.5× critical multiplier, and 27% status chance. Burst is listed separately at 2.5 attacks per second, with 27% critical chance, a 2.5× critical multiplier, and 19% status chance. Both modes list 9 Impact, 2 Puncture, 7 Slash, and 11 Electricity. The description identifies automatic hip-fire and aimed semi-automatic four-shot instant burst.
Capacitor and reload rhythm
The description says the self-charging capacitor discharges upon reload from empty, but does not specify the discharge's damage type or damage and range. The magazine holds 72 rounds and takes 2.7 seconds to reload. Waiting to empty the magazine meets the stated trigger condition; reloading sooner avoids waiting for those remaining rounds but does not meet that condition.
Other trigger patterns
Viper is described as a compact automatic pistol with a small magazine and fast reload. Cyanex fires homing, ricocheting projectiles that release Gas clouds and can alt-fire its magazine as a burst. Kuva Kraken fires three quick shots per trigger pull and can burst the rest of its magazine with alt-fire. Their descriptions differ from Quatz's hip-fire and aimed-burst modes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Auto mode lists higher status chance; Burst mode lists higher critical chance and multiplier.
- The capacitor discharge requires reloading from empty, so using it means waiting to empty the 72-round magazine instead of reloading sooner.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the capacitor discharge is Electric or has a known damage value.
- Applying Burst mode critical and status values to Auto mode.
