Understand Strun Prime
Useful when…
- Use normal fire for hitscan shotgun shots and its listed 26–52 meter falloff range.
- Consider the Incarnon projectile or AoE as separate attack modes when those forms are available to you.
Normal attack
The semi-automatic hitscan normal attack is listed at 3.33 shots per second and 54 total damage per shot: Impact 24.3, Slash 21.6, and Puncture 8.1. It has 24% critical chance, a 2.2x critical multiplier, and 6.67% status chance. Damage falls off from 26 to 52 meters, with 78% reduction at the far end. The ten-round magazine gives more room between reloads than the standard Strun, but reloading still takes 4.6 seconds.
Incarnon attacks are distinct
The Incarnon Form is a projectile attack listed at 2.5 shots per second, 200 projectile speed and flight, 100 Impact damage, 48% critical chance, a 3.4x critical multiplier, and 46% status chance. The separate Incarnon Form AoE lists Slash 100, Puncture 40, and Blast 60, with 20% falloff reduction over 0–4 meters. These mode-specific values do not describe the normal hitscan attack; consider each mode on its own when choosing how to use the weapon.
Build and alternatives
Strun Prime has Naramon and two Madurai polarities, a rank cap of 30, and a mastery requirement of 14. Felarx is another mastery-14 shotgun, while Arca Plasmor requires mastery 10 and Astilla Prime mastery 14; their supplied descriptions suggest different weapon identities, but do not provide enough handling statistics to claim they are direct replacements. Choose among them based on the actual attack behavior you want, not the Prime label alone.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 4.6-second reload is lengthy despite the ten-round magazine.
- Normal attack damage has substantial listed falloff at the far end of its range.
- Its mastery requirement is higher than the comparison shotguns listed here.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying Incarnon stats to the normal hitscan attack.
- Reading the normal attack falloff as no damage loss across the full 26–52 meter span.
- Treating comparison candidates as confirmed substitutes based on mastery rank alone.
