Understand Sybaris
Useful when…
- Use normal fire for hitscan bursts without projectile travel.
- Compare its listed magazine and reload with rifles that use different firing patterns.
Normal attack
The normal attack is hitscan, with an attack speed of 3.33 and 80 listed damage: 26.4 Impact, 26.4 Puncture, and 27.2 Slash. It lists 25% critical chance, a 2x critical multiplier, and 10% status chance. The trigger is Burst, the magazine holds 10 rounds, the reload takes 2 seconds, and accuracy is 28.57.
Incarnon Form
Incarnon Form is listed as a separate hitscan attack with attack speed 3.33. It has 20% critical chance, a 3x critical multiplier, and 20% status chance, with damage components of 29.7 Impact, 30.6 Slash, and 29.7 Puncture. These mode-specific values do not replace the normal attack's statistics.
Related firing patterns
Grinlok is described as a lever-action repeating rifle, Tiberon as a burst rifle, and Aeolak as an automatic rifle with two fire modes. These descriptions distinguish their firing patterns; they do not establish a direct upgrade over Sybaris. Sybaris requires mastery 5 and has a rank cap of 30.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The normal attack has a ten-round magazine and a listed 2-second reload.
- Incarnon Form has different critical and status values from the normal attack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Inferring a burst size that is not specified.
- Applying Incarnon Form statistics to normal shots.
- Treating attack speed as the number of rounds in each burst.
