Understand Tenet Exec
Useful when…
- Use the normal attack profile when comparing its direct melee properties.
- Consider Slam or Heavy Slam when their described shockwave patterns fit your approach to nearby groups.
- Keep the listed damage and status values separate for each attack mode.
What the slam modes do
Slam sends a cascading set of three shockwaves, while Heavy Slam unleashes a swath of shockwaves. Slam Attack lists 380 Impact damage, 10% status chance, and falloff from 0 to 4 m with 0.5 reduction. Heavy Slam Attack lists 570 Impact damage, 0% status chance, and falloff from 0 to 4 m with 0.3 reduction. These entries do not establish whether the damage values apply to each wave or to the waves collectively.
Normal attack and handling
Normal Attack lists 102.6 Impact and 87.4 Slash damage, 38% critical chance, a 2.4× critical multiplier, and 22% status chance. Its listed speed is 1. The weapon’s listed range is 2.8 m, follow-through is 0.6, and blocking angle is 55 degrees. Heavy Attack wind-up is listed as 1.1 seconds.
Choosing among melee approaches
Vitrica is another Heavy Blade, with a lower listed critical chance and multiplier in the comparison: 23% and 2.3×, compared with Tenet Exec’s 38% and 2.4×. Its described glassing interactions depend on Aim Gliding and on slamming nearby glassed foes or sending shockwaves at distant ones. Tak & Lug and Tenet Agendus are Sword and Shield weapons, not Heavy Blades; their descriptions respectively feature a thrown shield Heavy Attack and energy disks launched by heavy attacks. Those are different handling concepts rather than direct substitutes for Tenet Exec’s listed profile.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Heavy Attack wind-up is listed as 1.1 seconds.
- Heavy Slam lists 0% status chance, compared with 10% for Slam and 22% for Normal Attack.
- The slam entries do not specify whether listed damage is per shockwave or across all waves.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not treat the listed 380 or 570 slam damage as per-wave damage or as a confirmed total across the waves.
- Do not carry Normal Attack’s 22% status chance over to Slam or Heavy Slam.
