Understand Vitrica
Useful when…
- Combat where Aim Glide attacks can glass targets for a follow-up slam.
- Players who want a heavy blade with separate normal, glass explosion, regular slam and heavy slam modes.
Glassing and shattering
The weapon description says swinging while Aim Gliding glasses enemies. A Ground Slam smashes nearby glassed foes and sends a narrow shockwave forward to shatter distant ones; a Heavy Slam sends a wider, stronger shockwave. The details list a separate Glass Explosion area mode at 0–6 range with 90% falloff reduction and physical damage of 299.7 Impact, 399.6 Slash and 299.7 Puncture. Do not treat that explosion as the normal strike or assume an unstated glassing duration or target count.
Attack stats and handling
Normal attacks deal 333 listed damage: 133.2 Slash and 99.9 each of Impact and Puncture. They list 23% critical chance, a 2.3× critical multiplier and 33% status chance. The listed speed is 0.833, range about 2.9, and heavy-attack wind-up 1.1 seconds. Regular slam is a separate area mode dealing 666 Impact, with falloff from 0 to 4 and 50% reduction; heavy slam deals 999 Impact over the same listed range with 30% reduction. Each slam lists 50% status chance.
Mod fit and comparison
Vitrica requires Mastery Rank 13, ranks to 30 and has two Madurai polarities listed. Use those polarities as a mod-slot consideration only if they match the mods you choose. Tenet Exec is another heavy blade with its own described cascading slam shockwaves and a higher mastery requirement of 16. Azothane is a two-handed nikana with a described block-and-melee shockwave action, while Galatine is a lower-rank heavy blade. They offer different handling or slam descriptions; the supplied comparisons do not establish an overall winner. The listed Vitrica build takes 12 hours and uses crafting components, but no guaranteed current acquisition route is established.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The weapon is slow by its listed attack speed, with a 1.1-second heavy-attack wind-up.
- Its glassing and shatter sequence requires using Aim Glide and slams.
- Slam and glass explosion modes differ from the normal attack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume ordinary attacks glass enemies; the description specifies swinging while Aim Gliding.
- Do not merge regular and heavy slam damage or falloff values.
