Understand Eroding Blight
Useful when…
- Increase the Embolist magazine capacity.
- Add the listed Blight amount while using the Embolist.
Effect and weapon fit
At maximum rank, Eroding Blight grants +200% Magazine Capacity and +1 Blight. Rank 0 provides +50% magazine capacity and +0.3 Blight; rank 2 provides +150% and +0.8. It is a standard Embolist mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 4. Its listed effect is magazine capacity and Blight, not an increase to damage.
Fusion investment
The mod has three ranks, with listed rank-up costs of 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits, then 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits, then 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits. Each rank improves both listed values. Decide how far to fuse it based on whether the additional magazine capacity and Blight are useful enough for the costs and standard slot.
A distinct Embolist effect
Vile Discharge instead accumulates damage up to 30,000 and uses alternate fire to launch an explosive vile sac that deals and resets the accumulated damage. That described effect is separate from Eroding Blight’s magazine-capacity bonus; consider it when looking for the accumulation and alternate-fire behavior rather than a larger magazine.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a standard weapon slot and base drain 4.
- Its listed benefit is magazine capacity rather than the damage-accumulation effect described for Vile Discharge.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Eroding Blight accumulates damage or changes alternate fire.
- Equipping it on a weapon other than the Embolist.
