Understand Evasive Denial

Effect and rank scaling
The Hound teleports a safe distance away and engages a displacement field. At rank 0, the field grants a 25% chance to dodge enemy fire for 3 seconds; at rank 3, 55% for 6 seconds; and at rank 5, 75% for 8 seconds. Both the chance and the field duration increase with rank.
Hound fit and exclusions
This is a standard Hound Mod with Penjaga polarity and zero base drain. Its listed incompatible names are Reflex Denial and Diversified Denial, so you cannot equip those alongside it. The effect helps the Hound avoid some incoming enemy fire during its temporary field; it does not describe a dodge benefit for the player.
Rank investment
Rank 5 reaches the listed maximum of 75% dodge chance for 8 seconds, compared with 25% for 3 seconds at rank 0. Example fusion costs include 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits from rank 4 to 5. Rank it further when the longer field and higher chance are useful for your Hound; the upgrade improves both parts of the effect.
Compare the incompatible precepts
Reflex Denial generates a shield that reflects damage taken in pulses as Magnetic Damage in a radius; Diversified Denial fabricates three temporary Specters that deal a portion of the Hound’s damage and cannot use abilities. Those effects serve different purposes from Evasive Denial’s temporary dodge chance. Aerial Prospectus is also a listed Hound option, but its description is an orbital strike against an enemy within range rather than a defensive field.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its benefit is temporary and applies to the Hound’s chance to dodge enemy fire.
- It cannot be equipped with Reflex Denial or Diversified Denial.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the 75% chance and 8-second duration apply at rank 0; rank 0 grants 25% for 3 seconds.
- Trying to equip Reflex Denial or Diversified Denial alongside this precept.
