Understand Fast Hands
Useful when…
- Reducing reload downtime on a compatible rifle.
- Improving handling on a rifle setup where time spent reloading is a practical concern.
Effect and compatibility
Fast Hands gives +5% Reload Speed at rank 0, +20% at rank 3, and +30% at maximum rank 5. It is a standard Rifle mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 2. The listed effect changes reload speed; no change to magazine capacity or ammunition is specified.
When is the slot useful?
Use it when reload downtime is a noticeable handling cost for your rifle and you want to shorten that interruption. Its value depends on how often the weapon reloads and what other benefit could occupy the same standard weapon slot; it does not itself increase firing damage or ammunition capacity.
Ranks and alternatives
The supplied examples list 10 Endo and 483 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits from rank 4 to 5. Later ranks cost more, so invest to the reload improvement you want. Flawed Fast Hands is capped at +12% and Primed Fast Hands reaches +55% at rank 10; both are explicitly incompatible with Fast Hands. Aerial Ace uses an Exilus slot and refreshes Double Jump on kills while airborne, which is a mobility effect rather than a reload alternative.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Consumes a standard Rifle mod slot and capacity for reload speed.
- The maximum rank costs more to reach than intermediate ranks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating reload speed as magazine capacity or extra ammunition; neither is part of its listed effect.
- Equipping it with Flawed Fast Hands or Primed Fast Hands, which are explicitly incompatible.
