Understand Fever Strike
Useful when…
- Add Toxin damage to a melee weapon.
- Choose a Toxin mod when its damage type suits the build you are assembling.
What it does
At rank 5, Fever Strike grants +90% Toxin. Its bonus starts at +15% at rank 0 and reaches +60% at rank 3. This is a mod bonus, not a statement of final weapon damage.
Fit and compatibility
This is a standard melee mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 6. It is incompatible with Primed Fever Strike and Flawed Fever Strike, so those named variants cannot be equipped alongside it in the same build.
How far to rank it
It can be fused through rank 5. The supplied examples show 20 Endo and 966 Credits for rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits for rank 4 to 5. Since the last example step costs substantially more than the first, raise it as far as your build and available resources justify; rank 3 already provides +60% Toxin.
Variants and alternative stats
Flawed Fever Strike reaches +60% Toxin and has a lower maximum rank of 3; Primed Fever Strike lists +165% Toxin and a maximum rank of 10. These are variants with different stated bonuses, not additional bonuses to combine with Fever Strike. Amalgam Organ Shatter instead lists critical damage and heavy attack wind-up speed, so it serves different stat priorities.
Listed drop sources
The supplied drop list names several enemies and cache rewards as sources. It includes Fever Strike from Profit-Taker at 10.26%, Wolf Of Saturn Six and Zealoid Prelate at 18.33%, and Eris cache Rotation B rewards at 5.64%.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Higher ranks increase the listed Toxin bonus but the example Endo and Credit costs rise substantially at later ranks.
- Uses a standard melee mod slot and Naramon polarity.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating +90% Toxin as the weapon’s final damage.
- Trying to equip Fever Strike together with either named incompatible variant.
