Understand Hush
Useful when…
- Reduce the chance enemies hear rifle gunfire.
- Use its Exilus slot placement when the noise effect is more useful than another Exilus option.
Effect and slot
Hush reduces the chance an enemy will hear gunfire by 25% at rank 0, 75% at rank 2, and 100% at rank 3. It is a Rifle Exilus mod, so it occupies that slot type rather than a standard weapon slot.
Rank cost and use
It has Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and a maximum rank of 3. The listed fusion examples show increasing costs for each step; rank it further when the greater noise reduction matters for your use.
Other Rifle mods
Argon Scope adds Critical Chance when aiming after a weak point hit, while Catalyzer Link adds Status Chance when aiming after an ability cast. Cautious Shot is also an Exilus mod but reduces the chance of Stagger from self-imposed Radial Attacks. These provide different effects and conditions from Hush.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It uses a Rifle Exilus slot for noise reduction instead of another Exilus effect.
- The reduction increases with rank and requires additional fusion investment.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Installing it as though it were a standard slot mod rather than an Exilus mod.
- Assuming its effect changes damage, Critical Chance, or Status Chance.
