Motus Setup

Jump-triggered shotgun critical and status chance mod

Released May 22, 2019

Motus Setup grants listed Critical Chance and Status Chance bonuses after landing from a Double or Bullet Jump. The bonus lasts for a short window, so its use depends on the jump trigger and timing attacks during that window.

Motus Setup GUIDE

Understand Motus Setup

Useful when…

  • Consider it for a shotgun when Double or Bullet Jumps and post-landing attacks fit your combat rhythm.

Trigger and mod bonuses

After landing from a Double or Bullet Jump, Motus Setup grants +100% Critical Chance and +100% Status Chance for 4 seconds at max rank. These are the mod's listed bonuses, not final critical or status chance values. It is a standard shotgun mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 6.

Rank progression

At rank 0, the listed bonus is 25% Critical and Status Chance for 1 second. Rank 2 gives 75% for 3 seconds, and rank 3 gives 100% for 4 seconds. The mod's maximum rank is 3.

Compare shotgun critical chance mods

Blunderbuss lists +90% Critical Chance. Critical Deceleration lists +200% Critical Chance and −20% Fire Rate. Flawed Blunderbuss lists +40% Critical Chance. Their stated effects differ from Motus Setup's jump-landing trigger and combined Critical and Status Chance bonuses.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The bonus requires landing from a Double or Bullet Jump.
  • At max rank, the listed bonus lasts 4 seconds.
  • It occupies a standard shotgun mod slot and has base drain 6.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating the listed bonuses as final critical or status chance values.
  • Expecting the bonus before the specified landing or beyond its listed duration.
  • Treating the bonuses as unconditional.
