Understand Necramech Deflection
Useful when…
- Use it when shield recharge rate and recharge delay are the defensive properties you want to improve.
- Compare it with shield-capacity or energy-to-shield options when you need a different shield benefit.
What changes as it ranks up?
Necramech Deflection pairs two shield effects: rank 0 provides +15% Shield Recharge and -7.5% Shield Recharge Delay; rank 3 provides +60% and -30%; rank 5 provides +90% and -45%.
How does it fit with other shield mods?
It is a standard Necramech mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 4. Necramech Redirection adds +100% Shield Capacity, which increases capacity rather than the recharge rate and delay. Necramech Augur converts energy spent on abilities into shields, while Necramech Aviator reduces damage while airborne. Those are different defensive effects, not direct substitutes for recharge improvements.
How much should you rank?
The mod has five ranks. Rank 3 gives +60% recharge and -30% delay; rank 5 reaches +90% and -45%. The supplied rank 4-to-5 example costs 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits. Consider the final increase in both effects against this cost and whether capacity or another defensive effect would better fit the build.
What should you watch for?
Recharge and capacity are separate benefits. Do not read the recharge bonus as extra shield capacity, or expect the mod to convert ability energy into shields; those effects belong to different named mods.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Improves shield recovery properties rather than shield capacity.
- The two recharge effects increase together with rank.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing shield recharge with shield capacity.
- Assuming it converts energy into shields or reduces damage while airborne.
