Understand Necramech Enemy Sense
Useful when…
- Improve enemy detection while piloting a Necramech.
- Use it in combat or exploration when radar awareness is more useful to you than another Necramech mod effect.
What does it do?
This standard Necramech mod adds Enemy Radar range: +5 m at rank 0, +20 m at rank 3, and +30 m at rank 5. The listed stat is a radar range bonus; it does not itself damage enemies or reduce incoming damage.
When is radar useful?
Consider it when enemy awareness is valuable to your Necramech play, such as when you want radar detection during combat or exploration. Its benefit is informational, so weigh the slot against mods that directly affect shields, energy, or damage. Necramech Augur converts energy spent on abilities to shields, Necramech Aviator reduces damage while airborne, and Necramech Blitz increases slide attack damage; these serve distinct needs rather than replacing enemy radar.
How much should you invest?
It has five ranks, a Naramon polarity, and base drain of 4. Rank 3 gives +20 m Enemy Radar, while rank 5 reaches +30 m. The listed fusion steps rise from 10 Endo and 483 Credits for 0-to-1 to 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for 2-to-3, then 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits for 4-to-5. Rank 3 is a practical stated milestone if that range is enough for your use; the last two ranks cost more for the additional 10 m.
What should you keep in mind?
Do not mistake its radar bonus for a defensive or offensive effect: choose it for detection, and compare other mods when you need their separate shield, damage-reduction, or attack benefits.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It improves enemy radar range, not damage or survivability.
- Higher ranks increase range but require progressively more Endo and Credits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Enemy Radar to damage enemies or reduce damage taken.
- Ranking it to maximum without considering whether the additional radar range is useful for your play.
