Understand Parasitic Vitality
Useful when…
- Increase Nidus’s maximum health during Parasitic Link according to Mutation count.
- Grant the same per-Mutation maximum-health bonus to an ally bound by Parasitic Link.
Effect and condition
The augment applies while Parasitic Link is active: Nidus and any ally he is bound to gain maximum health per Mutation. The bonus is 1% per Mutation at rank 0 and 4% per Mutation at rank 3. The amount therefore depends on Mutation count and the link being active.
Slot and exclusions
It is a standard Nidus mod with Zenurik polarity and base drain 6. It is explicitly incompatible with Vitality, Archon Vitality, Umbral Vitality, and Flawed Vitality, so do not plan to equip it alongside any of those named mods. Other listed Nidus augments affect Mutation capacity, Ravenous, or Larva and do not provide this same Parasitic Link health effect.
Rank investment
It has ranks 0 through 3. Rank raises the per-Mutation bonus from 1% to 4%; the ability and Mutation conditions remain. The listed rank 2 to 3 step costs 120 Endo and 5,796 credits. The final rank is most relevant when you expect to use the link at meaningful Mutation counts.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It only applies during Parasitic Link and scales with Mutation count.
- It cannot be equipped with the four named Vitality mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ignoring the Parasitic Link condition when estimating the bonus.
- Attempting to equip a listed incompatible Vitality mod alongside the augment.
