Understand Parry
Useful when…
- Create finisher openings after blocking melee attacks.
- Use a melee Exilus slot for a block-triggered finisher chance.
Trigger and chance
The effect triggers after the Warframe blocks melee. It provides a 16% chance at rank 0, 64% at rank 3, and 96% at rank 5 to open enemies to Finisher Attacks. The chance is conditional on blocking melee; it is not a passive finisher chance on ordinary attacks.
Slot and alternatives
Parry is a standard melee Exilus mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 2. Flawed Parry is the listed lower-effect, flawed version and is incompatible with Parry. Amalgam Organ Shatter instead adds critical damage and heavy-attack wind-up speed, while Auger Strike adds Puncture; those serve damage or attack-stat goals rather than this block-triggered finisher condition.
Rank investment
The mod ranks from 0 to 5, increasing the chance to open enemies after a block. The listed rank 4 to 5 step costs 160 Endo and 7,728 credits for the rise from 80% to 96%. Consider the investment if you use the block trigger often enough to value that higher chance.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its finisher opening depends on blocking an enemy melee attack.
- It uses a melee Exilus slot and does not list direct damage bonuses.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the effect to trigger from ordinary melee attacks without blocking.
- Equipping it with Flawed Parry despite their stated incompatibility.
