Understand Partitioned Mallet
Useful when…
- Use when you want an additional Mallet and can work with its reduced range.
- Compare with Conductor if you instead want to reactivate Resonator to direct it toward your aim point.
What does the augment change?
Partitioned Mallet creates an additional Mallet. At rank 0, that additional Mallet has 65% reduced range; at rank 2 the reduction is 35%, and at rank 3 it is 20%. The supplied text does not describe other changes to Mallet.
Installation and capacity
This is a standard Octavia mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and a maximum rank of 3. It must be weighed against the other mods in a standard Warframe build; no incompatible mod names are listed.
Rank investment
Ranks improve the additional Mallet’s range by reducing its penalty. The final step, rank 2 to 3, costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits; rank 3 reduces the penalty to 20%. If the smaller range is acceptable at rank 2, that rank already reduces the penalty to 35%, while the last step costs twice as much Endo and Credits as the prior step.
A different Octavia augment
Conductor applies to Resonator: reactivation commands it to move to the player’s aim point at 150% speed. It addresses Resonator movement, whereas Partitioned Mallet adds a Mallet, so it is an alternative only if that is the behavior you want to modify.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The additional Mallet has reduced range, although ranking reduces the penalty.
- It uses a standard mod slot and has base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the extra Mallet has full range; the augment specifies a reduction at every listed rank.
- Confusing this Mallet augment with Conductor, which changes how Resonator moves.
