Understand Peculiar Growth
Useful when…
- Use when you want a damage-triggered visual effect and accept its duration.
- Compare with Peculiar Audience, Peculiar Bloom, or Peculiar End if their kill, critical-hit, or finisher conditions better match how you want the effect to appear.
Effect and duration
Damaging an enemy inflates the body part hit. The listed duration is 1 second at rank 0, 4 seconds at rank 3, and 6 seconds at rank 5. No damage or defensive bonus is described.
Slot and investment
Peculiar Growth is a standard Warframe Exilus mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and maximum rank 5. The final step costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits for the six-second effect. It explicitly excludes Peculiar Audience, Peculiar Bloom, and Peculiar End, so these cannot be equipped together.
Related cosmetic mods
Peculiar Audience has a kill trigger, a maximum listed 60% chance, and a 20-second cooldown. Peculiar Bloom reacts to critical hits, while Peculiar End has a finisher-kill trigger and reaches a 100% listed chance at max rank. Their triggers differ from Growth’s on-hit body-part effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses an Exilus slot for a cosmetic effect.
- The effect is temporary and requires damage to trigger.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the inflation lasts indefinitely; the listed maximum duration is six seconds.
- Treating the visual effect as increased damage or enemy vulnerability.
