Understand Point Strike
Useful when…
- Add critical chance to a compatible rifle in a standard slot.
- Use a partial rank when the added critical chance is useful but higher drain or fusion cost is not justified.
Effect and compatibility
Point Strike grants +25% Critical Chance at rank 0, +100% at rank 3, and +150% at rank 5. It is a Common standard Rifle Mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. It is explicitly incompatible with Flawed Point Strike and Critical Delay.
Rank investment
The maximum rank is 5. The listed rank 2-to-3 step costs 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits to reach +100%; the step from rank 4 to 5 costs 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits to reach +150%. The jump in listed investment makes an intermediate rank a reasonable stopping point when the final increment does not fit the current capacity or resource budget.
Compare effects and penalties
Flawed Point Strike has base drain 2 and caps at +60% Critical Chance. Critical Delay lists +200% Critical Chance with -20% Fire Rate, and twice that stated critical chance bonus for bows. Aerial Ace occupies an Exilus slot and refreshes double jumps on airborne kills, so it is a movement effect rather than another critical chance option.
Acquisition
The listed sources include several enemy drops, Lua/Pavlov Spy Rotation A, and Cetus bounties. The supplied bounty entries show more than one chance for the level 10–30 Rotation C reward, so use the named route information without treating one chance as universal.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Ranks increase the critical chance bonus and mod drain, with a substantial listed cost for the final rank step.
- Cannot be equipped alongside Flawed Point Strike or Critical Delay.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not equip it alongside its explicitly incompatible Flawed or Critical Delay versions.
- Do not read +150% as a final critical chance percentage independent of the rifle's own stats.
