Understand Primed Firestorm
Useful when…
- Increasing blast range on a rifle that has radial attacks.
- Choosing between the higher-rank Primed version and the lower-rank Firestorm according to capacity and investment.
Effect and compatibility
The mod improves blast range on weapons with radial attacks. Its listed bonus is +4% at rank 0, +24% at rank 5, and +44% at rank 10. It is a standard rifle mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 10. The bonus describes range, not damage.
Investment and slot choice
Each rank increases the listed blast-range bonus, while high-rank fusion steps are costly: the examples include 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits from rank 5 to 6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits from rank 9 to 10. Check whether the range increase is useful on your radial-attack rifle before investing in the final ranks. It occupies a standard slot rather than a rifle Exilus slot.
Alternatives and limitations
Firestorm is the matching standard mod, listed with maximum rank 3; Primed Firestorm explicitly excludes it, so they are alternatives rather than compatible additions. Aerial Ace is a rifle Exilus mod that refreshes double jumps on kills while airborne, and Agile Aim is a Conclave Exilus mod that improves movement speed while aiming. Neither provides blast range, so they are not direct replacements.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its benefit applies to weapons with radial attacks; it does not add damage.
- High fusion ranks have substantial Endo and Credit costs, and it uses a standard mod slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming it increases damage rather than blast range.
- Using it on a rifle without radial attacks.
- Trying to equip it together with Firestorm.
