Understand Primed Fulmination
Useful when…
- Increasing blast range on a pistol with radial attacks.
- Choosing the Primed version over Fulmination when its higher rank ceiling and investment fit the build.
Effect and compatibility
Primed Fulmination improves blast range on weapons with radial attacks. Its listed bonus is +4% at rank 0, +24% at rank 5, and +44% at rank 10. It is a standard pistol mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 10; the listed effect is range, not damage.
Fusion and slot investment
The range bonus rises with rank, but later fusion is costly: the examples include 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits from rank 5 to 6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits from rank 9 to 10. Decide how much range you need before investing in the final ranks. This occupies a standard slot, not an Exilus slot.
Alternatives and boundaries
Fulmination is the matching standard version, listed with maximum rank 3; Primed Fulmination explicitly excludes it. Accelerated Isotope instead adds Radiation and Fire Rate, while Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod affecting zoom while aim gliding. Those effects do not increase blast range and are not direct substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The effect applies to weapons with radial attacks and increases range rather than damage.
- High fusion ranks are expensive and use a standard mod slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the mod increases damage rather than blast range.
- Using it on a pistol without radial attacks.
- Equipping it alongside Fulmination despite the stated incompatibility.
