Understand Primed Stabilizer
Useful when…
- Reducing recoil on a compatible rifle.
- Using an Exilus slot for recoil control while preserving the standard weapon slots for other effects.
Effect and compatibility
Primed Stabilizer reduces weapon recoil: 7.7% at rank 0, 46.4% at rank 5, and 85% at rank 10. It is a standard rifle-compatible Exilus mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and maximum rank 10. It is incompatible with Stabilizer.
Practical use and alternatives
Consider it when a rifle's recoil interferes with your aim and you want to spend the Exilus slot on handling. Stabilizer is another rifle Exilus recoil mod; its listed effect is -90% recoil, with maximum rank 5 and base drain 6, but it cannot be equipped together with Primed Stabilizer. Aerial Ace instead refreshes double jump on kills while airborne, and Agile Aim is listed as a Conclave mod that increases movement speed while aiming; they serve different movement uses, not recoil control.
Rank investment
Fusion raises recoil reduction from 7.7% at rank 0 to 46.4% at rank 5 and 85% at rank 10. Costs increase with rank: the listed step from rank 5 to 6 costs 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits, while rank 9 to 10 costs 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits. Since the benefit is handling rather than damage, consider the rank that gives enough control for your use before spending heavily on the final ranks.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses an Exilus slot for handling rather than another Exilus effect.
- The standard Stabilizer lists a slightly larger recoil reduction, but has higher base drain and is incompatible with this mod.
- The final fusion ranks have steep Endo and Credit costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting recoil reduction to increase the rifle's listed damage.
- Trying to equip Stabilizer at the same time despite the incompatibility.
- Investing in the last ranks without considering their sharply higher fusion costs.
