Stabilizer GUIDE

Understand Stabilizer

Useful when…

  • Use it in a rifle Exilus slot when recoil control matters more than another Exilus effect.
  • Use a lower rank if you want some recoil reduction while limiting fusion investment.

Recoil reduction and compatibility

Stabilizer is a Standard rifle Exilus mod with Naramon polarity. It reduces recoil by 15% at rank 0, 60% at rank 3, and 90% at rank 5. Its effect changes weapon handling rather than the rifle's listed damage. Stabilizer explicitly excludes Primed Stabilizer, so they cannot be equipped together.

Rank investment

The mod has ranks 0–5. Example fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for ranks 0→1; 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2→3; and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits for 4→5. Higher ranks provide more recoil reduction, with the final example step costing more than the first.

Comparing Exilus effects

Primed Stabilizer is listed at -85% recoil, while Stabilizer reaches -90%; by the stated recoil values, Primed Stabilizer is not an upgrade. Aerial Ace refreshes double jumps on kills while airborne, and Agile Aim grants movement speed while aiming in its Conclave variant. Those mods offer different effects rather than recoil reduction.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Uses a rifle Exilus slot for recoil control instead of another Exilus effect.
  • The final example rank step costs more Endo and Credits than the initial step.
  • Cannot be equipped alongside Primed Stabilizer.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Trying to equip Stabilizer together with Primed Stabilizer.
  • Assuming recoil reduction increases rifle damage.
  • Treating Primed Stabilizer's listed -85% recoil as an upgrade over Stabilizer's -90%.
