Understand Recharge Barrier
Useful when…
- Restore allies’ shields as they pass through Electric Shield in the Conclave context.
- Choose it when the shield restoration effect matters more to your slot than another Volt augment.
What does it do?
Recharge Barrier augments Electric Shield: allies that pass through have shields restored. It restores 20% at rank 0, 30% at rank 2, and 35% at rank 3. The mod is marked Conclave; keep that context distinct from standard Volt augment descriptions.
When is it useful?
Use it when allies can pass through Electric Shield and the listed shield restoration is useful. Transistor Shield instead lets allies pick up Electric Shield and adds absorbed damage to Volt’s Static Discharge. Capacitance converts a portion of Discharge damage into shields for Volt and squadmates. Those augments change other aspects of Volt’s abilities and are not direct substitutes for shield restoration on crossing.
Rank and slot
The restoration rises to 35% at rank 3. The listed costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, then 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Recharge Barrier has Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, maximum rank 3, and uses a standard slot. Kinetic Collision is also marked Conclave but augments Speed when Volt collides with an opponent, so it serves another ability and condition.
Limitations
The supported trigger is an ally passing through Electric Shield. Its Conclave variant and standard slot also matter when deciding whether it fits the intended setup.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Restoration depends on allies passing through Electric Shield.
- It is a Conclave mod using a standard slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming allies receive shields without passing through Electric Shield.
- Treating the Conclave augment as a general standard-variant Volt mod.
- Confusing it with Transistor Shield or Capacitance, which list different effects.
