Understand Recrystalize
Useful when…
- Spread Crystallize crystals from enemies killed by the crystalline growths.
- Use when nearby enemies are close enough for the rank-dependent spread radius to matter.
How does it work?
Recrystalize augments Crystallize. Enemies killed by its crystalline growths stagger and spread the crystals to enemies within range. The radius is 4m at rank 0, 12m at rank 2, and 16m at rank 3. The kill condition is central: the listed spread does not trigger merely because an enemy is affected or nearby.
When should you consider it?
The augment fits a Citrine setup that uses Crystallize and can kill enemies with its crystalline growths while targets are within the spread radius. Prismatic Companion supports Prismatic Gem in another way: its description attaches the gem to a free-moving companion and adds 50% Gem Duration. That is a different augment and does not provide Recrystalize’s kill-triggered crystal spread.
Rank investment
The main ranked increase listed is spread radius: 4m at rank 0, 12m at rank 2, and 16m at rank 3. Example fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Higher ranks can reach targets farther away, but the mod still requires a kill by the crystalline growths.
Slot and trigger limits
Recrystalize is a standard Citrine mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. It uses a standard slot. Keep its precise condition in mind: the described stagger and spread follow kills caused by crystalline growths, rather than any kill or any crystal hit.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its propagation depends on kills by Crystallize’s crystalline growths.
- Uses a standard Citrine mod slot and capacity.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any enemy kill triggers crystal spread.
- Overlooking the rank-dependent range, especially the 4m radius at rank 0.
- Confusing it with Prismatic Companion’s Prismatic Gem effects.
