Understand Restorative Bond
Useful when…
- Companion setups that benefit from Health Orb healing
- Builds where reducing Companion Recovery Time is useful
What it changes
At maximum rank, Health Orbs restore 60 more health and Companion Recovery Time is reduced by 3 seconds. At rank 0, the corresponding values are 10 more health and 0.5 seconds; at rank 3, they are 40 more health and 2 seconds. These are separate listed benefits of the mod.
Fit and rank investment
Restorative Bond is a standard Companion mod with Vazarin polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Ranking improves both its Health Orb and recovery effects. The listed example fusion costs rise at higher ranks, so invest based on the recovery-time reduction and additional orb healing you expect to use.
Compare recovery approaches
Medi-Pet Kit is listed with +12 Companion Health Regen per second and a 15-second reduction to Companion Recovery Time. Aerial Bond reduces recovery time by 3 seconds for airborne kills or 9 seconds for airborne headshot kills, and creates a cold field while the Warframe is airborne. Duplex Bond instead creates up to three companion clones when you expend 100 energy; its description gives those clones a 30-second life and a 50% chance for their kills to drop Energy Orbs. These alternatives have distinct triggers and effects; they are not identical substitutes for Restorative Bond’s Health Orb benefit.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The extra healing applies to Health Orbs, so its value depends on that recovery source.
- Ranking takes increasing Endo and credits for larger listed benefits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the Health Orb bonus as unconditional healing outside orb pickups.
- Confusing the three-second maximum recovery reduction with the separate Health Orb bonus.
