Understand Ris Invocation
Useful when…
- Building temporary Ability Duration by hitting enemies with Tome Alternate Fire.
- Choosing a duration-focused Invocation while accepting that other Invocation effects cannot be equipped alongside it.
How does its effect work?
At maximum rank, each enemy hit by Alternate Fire grants +4% Ability Duration for 20 seconds, stacking up to 15 times. At the cap, the listed per-stack bonus totals 60% while all 15 stacks are active. Rank 0 grants 1% per enemy hit and rank 2 grants 3%.
What does it require?
The effect is triggered by Tome Alternate Fire and scales with enemies hit; a single hit does not reach the 15-stack cap. Ris Invocation is a standard Tome mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 10, and maximum rank 3. It is incompatible with Netra, Vome, and Xata Invocation.
What is the rank investment?
Ranking increases the duration bonus per enemy hit, while the listed 20-second duration and 15-stack limit remain constant. Fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2→3. Higher ranks are most relevant when you regularly build several hits and want the stronger bonus.
Which other Invocation effects are distinct?
Netra Invocation grants Ability Efficiency per hit, Vome Invocation grants Ability Strength per hit, and Xata Invocation grants Energy regeneration per hit with a 10-stack limit. Each serves a different purpose, and the listed incompatibility means these are alternatives to Ris Invocation within this Tome setup.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires Alternate Fire hits to build its temporary effect.
- Uses a Tome mod slot and has base drain 10.
- Cannot be equipped with the other named Invocation mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the full 60% bonus from a single enemy hit.
- Treating the 20-second effect duration as its stack limit; the separate cap is 15 hits.
- Trying to combine it with another Invocation named in its incompatibility list.
