Useful when…
- Extend a pistol beam’s listed range.
- Use it in the Exilus slot when range utility is more useful to your setup than another option.
What does it change?
The beam-range bonus is +2 m at rank 0, +6 m at rank 2, and +8 m at rank 3. It changes range, not damage.
Slot and compatibility
Ruinous Extension is a standard pistol Exilus mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and maximum rank 3.
Ranking tradeoff
The final step from rank 2 to 3 costs 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for 2 m more range. Rank it according to how much that additional reach matters to your use; the mod does not compete with standard-slot damage mods for the same slot type.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses an Exilus slot and investment for range rather than a listed damage bonus.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the mod to increase damage or fire rate.
- Ignoring that it occupies an Exilus slot.
