Understand Seeking Force
Useful when…
- Equip on a shotgun when Punch Through helps shots continue through targets or obstacles.
- Choose this over the Flawed variant when its higher Punch Through justifies the capacity and rank costs.
Effect and slot
This Rare standard shotgun mod has Naramon polarity and a standard slot. Its Punch Through rises from +0.4 at rank 0 to +1.4 at rank 3 and +2.1 at rank 5. It is explicitly incompatible with Flawed Seeking Force.
Rank investment
Seeking Force has maximum rank 5 and base drain 10. Listed fusion steps include 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1; 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3; and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits from rank 4 to 5. The last rank is a costly increment, so weigh its additional Punch Through against available capacity and other shotgun mods. Naramon polarity matters when matching the mod to the weapon's slot polarity.
Alternatives and sources
Flawed Seeking Force tops out at +0.8 Punch Through and has base drain 6; the two versions cannot be equipped together. Accelerated Blast adds Fire Rate and Puncture damage, while Amalgam Shotgun Barrage adds Fire Rate and revive speed, so neither duplicates Seeking Force's effect. Listed sources for Seeking Force include certain Powerfist enemies and Normal Duviri/Endless Tier 4 and Tier 6 rewards.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Higher maximum Punch Through than the Flawed version, with base drain 10 instead of 6.
- Late fusion ranks have high listed Endo and Credit costs.
- The effect is not a direct damage bonus and excludes the Flawed version.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating Punch Through as a damage percentage.
- Equipping both standard and Flawed Seeking Force.
- Ignoring the steep cost of the final fusion ranks.
