Understand Shockwave Actuators
Useful when…
- Knocking down enemies near a MOA at periodic intervals.
- Adding a low-base-drain MOA precept for combat control.
Effect and timing
The MOA precept blasts a shockwave that knocks down those within 12 m. At rank 0 it recharges every 25 seconds, at rank 2 every 15 seconds, and at rank 3 every 10 seconds. It is a Common MOA mod with Penjaga polarity and base drain 2.
Rank and alternatives
Ranking shortens the recharge interval, not the listed radius or knockdown effect. The listed steps cost 10, 20, and 40 Endo plus 483, 966, and 1,932 Credits, making the rank decision primarily about how often you want the precept to be available. Blast Shield instead provides increased overshields and a leap with a knockdown effect; Anti-Grav Grenade levitates enemies and later deals damage based on damage taken while floating. These are distinct MOA behaviors.
Use and limitation
This is a MOA precept, not a Warframe mod or direct player attack upgrade. Its fixed 12 m range and recharge interval mean it should be treated as periodic nearby control rather than continuous knockdown.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Ranks improve availability by reducing recharge time; they do not change the listed range.
- Its effect is periodic and limited to nearby enemies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting a continuous knockdown effect or a range increase from ranking.
- Equipping it in a Warframe slot rather than as a MOA precept.
