Understand Flawed Speed Trigger
Useful when…
- Add fire rate to a compatible rifle or bow while keeping mod drain low.
- Use as an interim fire-rate option before replacing it with the standard variant.
Effect and compatibility
This flawed Madurai rifle mod fits a standard slot and is compatible with rifles. Its bonus rises from 5% at rank 0 to 20% at rank 3, with twice those values for bows. It cannot be equipped alongside Speed Trigger.
Rank and capacity tradeoff
The mod has a base drain of 2 and reaches rank 3. The listed fusion steps cost 20, 40, then 80 Endo, with credits increasing from 966 to 3,864 per step. Its modest drain and lower maximum bonus make partial investment sensible when capacity is tight; the standard variant reaches a higher bonus but has base drain 4 and a longer rank track.
Use and alternative
Fire rate increases the weapon's firing cadence; it does not itself increase the damage of an individual shot. For bows, the stated bonus is doubled. Standard Speed Trigger is the direct higher-bonus alternative. Aerial Ace instead refreshes double jumps after kills while airborne, and Agile Aim improves aiming movement speed; neither provides fire rate.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 20% maximum fire-rate bonus is lower than the standard variant's 60% (both double their listed bonuses for bows).
- The reduced base drain is paired with a lower rank cap and a smaller maximum effect.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not try to equip it together with Speed Trigger; the two are explicitly incompatible.
- Do not mistake the bow multiplier for a separate additional mod effect: bows get twice the listed fire-rate bonus.
