Understand Stasis Field
Useful when…
- Equip it on a MOA when reducing the speed and damage of enemy projectiles in an area is useful.
- Rank it to improve the field duration and both projectile effects.
What happens inside the field?
At rank 0, the field lasts 5 seconds; projectiles inside move 15% slower and deal 10% less damage. At rank 3, it lasts 20 seconds with 60% slower projectiles and 40% less damage. Rank 5 reaches 30 seconds, 90% slower projectiles, and 60% less damage. These effects apply to enemy projectiles while inside the field; they do not describe general protection from every attack.
How should you weigh ranks?
The MOA precept has ranks 0–5. Example costs are 10 Endo and 483 Credits for 0→1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for 2→3, and 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits for 4→5. Each increase improves duration and the listed projectile effects, while the later rank costs more. Invest when longer coverage and stronger projectile mitigation matter.
How does it differ from other MOA precepts?
Anti-Grav Grenade levitates enemies within 6 meters and later deals Impact damage based on damage taken while floating. Blast Shield increases overshields and leaps at a nearby enemy, while Hard Engage uses melee attacks against enemies within 10 meters. Those precepts focus on enemy control, overshields, or companion attacks rather than slowing and weakening projectiles inside a field.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The projectile benefits are limited to enemies' projectiles inside the field.
- The effect does not describe mitigation against non-projectile attacks.
- Higher ranks improve multiple field properties but require more fusion resources.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the field to reduce damage from every attack type.
- Ignoring the inside-the-field condition when relying on projectile slowing or damage reduction.
