What the two bonuses do
The mod raises Shield Recharge and reduces Shield Recharge Delay. At rank 0 it provides +25% recharge and −12.5% delay; rank 2 provides +75% and −37.5%; rank 3 provides +100% and −50%. The bonuses describe recharge rate and delay, not additional shield capacity.
Rank and fit
Superior Defenses is an Archwing standard mod with Vazarin polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 4. The listed fusion steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits for 0→1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for 1→2, and 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for 2→3. Invest further when the stronger recovery effect is worth those increasing costs.
Recovery versus other defenses
Energy Inversion adds shield capacity, Argon Plating adds armor, and Auxiliary Power adds maximum energy. They address different stats, so none is a direct replacement for recharge and delay bonuses. Select based on whether your Archwing needs recovery, capacity, armor, or energy capacity.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It improves shield recharge behavior, not shield capacity.
- The higher ranks require more Endo and Credits per listed step.
