Understand Transient Fortitude
Useful when…
- Increase Ability Strength when the resulting Duration reduction is acceptable.
What does the trade do?
At rank 10, the mod grants +55% Ability Strength and reduces Ability Duration by 27.5%. Rank 0 gives +5% Strength and -2.5% Duration; rank 5 gives +30% and -15%. This is a paired trade, so assess ability strength and duration needs together rather than treating the strength bonus as free.
When to consider it
It fits builds that value increased ability strength and can tolerate reduced duration. Amar’s Hatred offers a smaller +15% Ability Strength alongside +25% Armor, with different polarity and rank range. Archon Continuity instead increases duration and adds a Corrosive effect condition for abilities that inflict Toxin; Archon Intensify grants strength and has a conditional bonus after restoring health with abilities. These alternatives have distinct effects and do not reproduce Transient Fortitude’s same trade.
Rank and capacity
Transient Fortitude is a rare standard Warframe mod with madurai polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 10. The supplied rank costs rise sharply: 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0 to 1; 960 and 46,368 for rank 5 to 6; and 15,360 and 741,888 for rank 9 to 10. Higher ranks improve both sides of the trade, so stop where the Strength gain justifies the additional Duration loss and investment.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Every rank increases Strength while also increasing the Duration penalty.
- The final ranks have substantially higher listed fusion costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assess only the Strength bonus; the Duration penalty increases with rank too.
- Do not treat a conditional alternative’s additional effect as unconditional.
