Understand Flawed Trick Mag
Useful when…
- Increase a compatible pistol’s maximum ammunition capacity.
What does it change?
Flawed Trick Mag raises Ammo Maximum: +10% at rank 0, +30% at rank 2, and +40% at rank 3. It is an Exilus mod for pistols, with naramon polarity and base drain 2.
When should you equip it?
Use it when a pistol’s reserve ammunition is limiting sustained use and you can allocate an Exilus slot to capacity. Standard Trick Mag has the same pistol category and polarity but reaches +90% Ammo Maximum at rank 5. Accelerated Isotope instead adds Radiation and Fire Rate in a standard slot; Air Recon is a Conclave variant that changes zoom while aim gliding. These do not provide the same reserve-ammunition effect.
Rank and variant restriction
The mod has maximum rank 3; listed fusion costs are 10 Endo and 483 Credits for rank 0 to 1, 20 and 966 for rank 1 to 2, and 40 and 1,932 for rank 2 to 3. It is explicitly incompatible with standard Trick Mag, so the two cannot be equipped together. The standard mod provides the larger listed capacity bonus if available.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It provides a lower listed Ammo Maximum bonus than standard Trick Mag.
- Uses an Exilus slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not expect it to increase magazine size; its listed effect is Ammo Maximum.
- Do not attempt to equip it together with Trick Mag.
