Understand Untime Rift
Useful when…
- Connect nearby enemies already suffering from Void Status Effect.
- Improve and maintain The Vast Untime’s debuff effect across linked targets.
Effect and prerequisite
The augment requires enemies to be suffering from a Void Status Effect within its range for the Rift to connect to them. It doubles debuffs applied by The Vast Untime and maintains Void Status. This is an augment for Xaku’s The Vast Untime, not a general Rift effect.
Range and investment
Range is 9m at rank 0, 13m at rank 2, and 15m at rank 3. The mod’s maximum rank is 3 and base drain is 6. Example costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2→3. Higher ranks extend the reach of its enemy connection; consider whether that range justifies the fusion cost.
Other Xaku augment roles
Vampiric Grasp heals Xaku when a stolen weapon damages enemies affected by The Lost: Gaze or The Vast Untime. The Relentless Lost instead adds Ability Strength and Efficiency to The Lost when cast, stacking up to three times, with a same-ability recast resetting the effect. These address healing and ability casting respectively, rather than Untime Rift’s Void-status link and debuff behavior.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Targets must already have Void Status Effect to meet the stated connection condition.
- The mod takes a standard slot and has base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Rift to connect to enemies that do not have Void Status Effect.
- Treating its effect as a general bonus to all Xaku abilities.
