Understand Vampiric Grasp
Useful when…
- Add healing while Grasp of Lohk weapons damage enemies affected by The Lost: Gaze or The Vast Untime.
- Use when the Xaku build regularly creates those affected targets.
Healing condition
The healing occurs when a stolen Grasp of Lohk weapon deals damage to an enemy affected by either The Lost: Gaze or The Vast Untime. It is therefore conditional on both the weapon damage and the enemy’s status from one of those abilities. The listed healing is 10 at rank 0, 20 at rank 2, and 25 at rank 3.
Rank and investment
The augment has maximum rank 3, Zenurik polarity, and base drain 6. Example costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2→3. Fusion increases the healing amount; consider the investment according to how often the build meets the trigger condition.
Other Xaku augment roles
The Relentless Lost adds Ability Strength and Efficiency to The Lost when cast, stacking up to three times; casting the same ability back-to-back resets the effect. Untime Rift instead links enemies with Void Status Effect and doubles debuffs applied by The Vast Untime. These augment different aspects of Xaku’s abilities; neither has Vampiric Grasp’s conditional healing effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Healing requires a stolen weapon to damage an enemy affected by one of two specified abilities.
- The standard slot and base drain 6 compete with other Xaku mod choices.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting healing from Grasp of Lohk damage against enemies that are not affected by The Lost: Gaze or The Vast Untime.
- Treating the augment as passive, unconditional healing.
