Understand Wild Frenzy
Useful when…
- Use on the Grakata when its secondary fire’s magazine-emptying burst fits your combat needs.
- Consider higher ranks for a larger fire-rate bonus and more complete ammo refund on qualifying kills.
Secondary-fire effect
At maximum rank, secondary fire gains +400% Fire Rate until the magazine is empty. Killing two or more enemies refunds 100% of the ammo. The refund is conditional on reaching at least two kills; the listed effect does not promise a refund for one kill.
Ranks and fit
Wild Frenzy is a standard Grakata mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 4, and five ranks. At rank 0 it grants +200% fire rate and refunds 25% of ammo after two or more kills; rank 3 gives +285% and a 70% refund. The final listed rank step costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. It is Grakata-specific, so it does not fit rifles generally.
Comparison
Brain Storm is a Conclave-variant Grakata mod whose listed effect is a 40% chance of infinite ammo for two seconds on a headshot. Its trigger and duration differ from Wild Frenzy’s magazine-emptying secondary-fire burst and multi-kill ammo refund, so it is not a direct substitute for that use.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The fire-rate burst runs until the magazine is empty.
- The full ammo refund requires killing at least two enemies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the ammo refund without killing at least two enemies.
- Applying its secondary-fire behavior to another rifle.
