Understand Wrecking Wall
Useful when…
- Use Containment Wall against clustered enemies to apply its defenses strip across multiple targets.
- Consider it in a build that uses Chyrinka Pillars and can regularly hit five or more enemies with the wall.
What it does
At maximum rank, struck enemies lose 50% of their armor and shields. At rank 0 the value is 35%, rising to 45% at rank 2. If the wall hits five or more enemies, the augment restarts the duration of any active Chyrinka Pillars and empowers them. The threshold is based on enemies struck by that wall cast; the stated effect does not specify how the empowerment changes the Pillars.
Use and fit
The augment is for Qorvex and occupies a standard mod slot. Its Zenurik polarity matches that slot type, and its base drain is 6. Its payoff is strongest when Containment Wall crosses a dense group and Pillars are already present to receive the duration refresh and empowerment.
Rank investment
Fusion raises the strip from 35% at rank 0 to 50% at rank 3; the five-enemy Pillar condition is present at every listed rank. Rank 2 offers 45%, while the final step raises it to 50%. Rank-up costs rise from 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for the first step to 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for the final step, so prioritize the last rank if the additional five percentage points matter to your use of the augment.
How it differs from Fused Crucible
Fused Crucible changes Crucible Blast into a channeled ability that costs 20 Energy per second and ramps up; while active, Pillars trigger chain reactions and their duration is frozen, with mobility greatly reduced. That is a different ability modification and play condition, not a direct replacement for Wrecking Wall’s Containment Wall strip and five-target refresh.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a standard mod slot for an effect whose Pillar refresh requires striking at least five enemies.
- The listed effect gives no numeric value for how much the Pillars are empowered.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Pillar refresh when the wall strikes fewer than five enemies.
- Treating the stated 50% strip as the rank 0 value; rank 0 provides 35%.
