Equipment upgrade slots
Some weapons and armor take separately crafted upgrades; armor has at most two slots and weapons at most three, and upgrades add stats and alter appearance.
How it works
The page says some weapons and armor feature upgrade slots fitted with specially crafted items, requiring the right schematic. Armor has a maximum of two slots and weapons a maximum of three. An upgrade adds its stats to the item and changes appearance. Existing upgrades can be removed, added, or exchanged between different items.
