Some high-level and tier weapon or armor schematics include an optional masterwork slot for special effects unavailable from other material slots.
How it works
Some weapon and armor schematics described as high-level and tier have a masterwork slot for an optional masterwork crafting material. The crafting page says these materials provide special effects unavailable in other slots. It gives greatly increasing critical crafting as an example, with a possible +10% to final item stats, but does not identify a material for that value.
