Alhaitham’s Elemental Skill creates Chisel-Light Mirrors. While he has Mirrors, his normal, charged, and plunging attacks deal Dendro damage and can trigger Projection Attacks. His burst consumes existing Mirrors for additional damage instances, then creates Mirrors based on how many it consumed.

Alhaitham GUIDE
Understand Alhaitham
Useful when…
Use his attacks to trigger Projection Attacks while Mirrors are present.
Use his burst as an area Dendro attack whose number of instances depends on Mirrors consumed.
Benefit from his passive’s Elemental Mastery bonus to Projection Attack and burst damage.
Mirrors and Projection Attacks
His skill rushes forward, deals Dendro damage, and creates one Mirror. If he has no Mirrors when he casts it, it creates one additional Mirror. While he has Mirrors, his normal, charged, and plunging attacks are converted to Dendro damage, and hits with those attacks trigger area Dendro Projection Attacks. Projection damage uses the listed multipliers for one, two, or three Mirrors. Mirrors are removed one after another at four-second intervals, and all disappear when Alhaitham leaves the field. A charged or plunging hit can generate one Mirror, once every 12 seconds.
Burst and Mirror count
Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena deals area Dendro damage in multiple instances. It hits four times if no Mirrors are consumed, with six, eight, or ten instances when one, two, or three Mirrors are consumed, respectively. Two seconds after casting, it generates three, two, one, or zero Mirrors depending on whether it consumed zero, one, two, or three. The burst has a 70-energy cost and an 18-second cooldown. His normal attack has up to five strikes; his charged attack costs 20 stamina and performs two strikes.
Elemental Mastery passive and crafting
Mysteries Laid Bare increases Projection Attack and burst damage by 0.1% per point of Elemental Mastery, up to a 100% bonus to those damage sources. This cap applies to the passive’s bonus, not to total damage or to every possible effect of Elemental Mastery. His crafting passive gives a 10% chance to receive double the product when crafting Weapon Ascension Materials.
Upgrade tracks and materials
Alhaitham has separate ascension, normal-attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst upgrade tracks. Listed ascension materials include Sand Grease Pupa and Pseudo-Stamens. The level 9-to-10 example for each combat track includes Philosophies of Ingenuity, Rich Red Brocade, Mirror of Mushin, a Crown of Insight, and Mora.
Related Dendro characters
Kinich and Lauma are five-star Dendro characters; Yaoyao is a four-star Dendro character. Their listed weapons are claymore, catalyst, and polearm, respectively. These comparison details do not establish that they share Alhaitham’s role or mechanics.
Limitations and tradeoffs
Leaving the field removes all Mirrors.
Consuming more Mirrors increases the burst’s number of damage instances and reduces the number of Mirrors it generates afterward.
The passive’s Elemental Mastery bonus to Projection Attack and burst damage is capped at 100%.
Common mistakes to avoid
Expecting Mirrors to persist after Alhaitham leaves the field.
Assuming the burst always generates three Mirrors regardless of how many it consumed.
Treating the passive’s 100% bonus cap as a cap on total damage or on all Elemental Mastery effects.
