Understand Gilded Dreams
Useful when…
- A build that can trigger an Elemental Reaction and benefit from ATK or Elemental Mastery.
- A two-piece 80 Elemental Mastery bonus in a mixed set.
How does the four-piece bonus calculate?
Two pieces grant 80 Elemental Mastery. Within 8 seconds of the wearer triggering an Elemental Reaction, the four-piece effect grants ATK for party members whose Elemental Type matches the wearer and Elemental Mastery for party members with a different Elemental Type. Each matching party member contributes 14% ATK, and each different-type member contributes 50 Elemental Mastery; each buff counts up to three characters. The trigger can occur once every 8 seconds and works off-field. This makes party composition determine which stat the effect supplies.
How should you evaluate the party condition?
Check the other party members’ Elemental Types before deciding whether the four-piece effect supports the wearer: matching types contribute ATK, while different types contribute Elemental Mastery. The wearer must also trigger an Elemental Reaction to activate the effect. The listed bonuses are capped by counting up to three characters for each type of buff, so additional party members do not raise those respective counts beyond that limit.
How does it compare with reaction-focused sets?
Flower of Paradise Lost shares the 80 Elemental Mastery two-piece bonus but uses its four-piece effect to raise the wearer’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom damage after the wearer triggers those reactions. Gilded Dreams instead supplies party-composition-based ATK and Elemental Mastery. Celestial Gift also grants Energy Recharge at two pieces, while its four-piece effect requires Witch’s Homework and an Elemental Skill to give nearby allies an elemental damage bonus, with a further condition for its Hexerei: Secret Rite upgrade. Ocean-Hued Clam is oriented around healing and creates damage from recorded healing. Their activation conditions and effects differ.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece stat mix depends on party Elemental Types and on the wearer triggering a reaction.
- The effect is limited to three counted characters for each stat type and can trigger only once every 8 seconds.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the wearer’s own Elemental Type alone determines the buff; the other party members’ types determine whether each contributes ATK or Elemental Mastery.
- Assuming every party member counts beyond the three-character limit for each buff.
