Understand Flower of Paradise Lost
Useful when…
- A reaction-focused build where the equipping character is responsible for Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom triggers.
- A two-piece 80 Elemental Mastery bonus in a mixed set.
How do the set bonuses work?
Two pieces grant 80 Elemental Mastery. Four pieces increase the equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG by 40%, and Lunar-Bloom reaction DMG by 10%. After the equipping character triggers Bloom, Hyperbloom, Lunar-Bloom, or Burgeon, the set grants a further 25% bonus to the effects just listed. Each stack lasts 10 seconds, up to four stacks, and the trigger can occur only once per second. The wearer can trigger the effect off-field.
What makes the four-piece bonus worthwhile?
The bonus is specific to the wearer’s reaction triggers, so it fits a character who reliably owns those triggers rather than a character merely present in a team using the reactions. Repeated eligible triggers can build the additional bonus to four stacks, while the 10-second duration makes maintaining stacks relevant. Off-field triggering lets the wearer contribute without remaining active, provided that character is the one triggering the listed reaction.
How does Gilded Dreams compare?
Gilded Dreams shares the 80 Elemental Mastery two-piece bonus, but its four-piece effect instead reacts to an Elemental Reaction and grants ATK or Elemental Mastery based on party members’ Elemental Types. That makes it a broader party-composition-based stat bonus, while Flower of Paradise Lost directly raises the specified reaction damage of its wearer and can build up to four stacks. Silken Moon’s Serenade instead grants Energy Recharge at two pieces and, after Elemental DMG, grants party Elemental Mastery based on Moonsign, along with Lunar Reaction DMG based on different Gleaming Moon effects. The choice depends on the desired effect and its trigger conditions.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece damage bonuses only apply to the named reactions triggered by the wearer.
- The extra bonus needs reaction triggers to build and is limited by a one-second trigger interval and four-stack maximum.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any party member’s listed reaction triggers build stacks for the wearer; the equipping character must trigger it.
- Treating Lunar-Bloom as receiving the same base percentage as Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon; its listed base increase is 10%.
